Ask your agent for a video.

Make short vertical videos by asking your own coding agent: Claude Code, Codex, Grok, Cursor or Gemini CLI. Your agent writes the script, designs the scene, and renders the video into your project folder.

  1. Source

    You name the idea.

  2. Write

    Words, not a draft pile.

  3. Render

    A vertical short, in videos/.

  4. Publish

    Official APIs, disclosed.

Make a project, ask your agent, get a video.

  1. Source

Open your project folder in your agent and ask for a short. Claude Code, Codex, Grok, Cursor and Gemini CLI all read the folder and know what to do.

  2. Write

Your agent writes the script, the hook, the title, and the hashtags, and designs the scene for this one idea.

    in
    topics
    out
    script, hook, title, hashtags
  3. Render

A 1080×1920 video rendered on your machine with Remotion, Framey or HyperFrames. It lands in videos/ with a readable name and a transcript beside it.

    in

    out
    1080×1920 short, voice, transcript
  4. Publish

YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, through their official APIs, with the AI-disclosure flag always set. Publishing waits for your own platform keys. Without one, the upload is skipped and the video stays on your machine.

You ask. The run reports back.

An illustration of a run as your agent might report it. Publishing is skipped here because no platform key is set.

To start:

npm create vfrey@beta my-channelcd my-channel

Then open the folder in your agent and ask for a short.

One local dashboard.

A board of runs, a timeline for each one, and the video. It runs on your machine and opens with one command from your project folder.

  • waiting
  • running
  • finished
  • failed

From your project folder, one command opens it:

npx vfrey open

The board and a run timeline, drawn in cells. Not a screenshot.

Rules it keeps, every run.

vfrey, and the parts around it.

vfrey is in private beta and free to install and use during the beta. Run npm create vfrey@beta my-channel, open the folder in your agent, and ask for a short.

Claude Code, Codex, Grok, Cursor, and Gemini CLI. The project folder tells each one what to do. vfrey has no model of its own, so you pay for your agent, not per video.

Publishing waits for your own platform keys. Without a key the upload is skipped and the video stays on your machine.

On your machine. The short is rendered locally, the videos land in your project's videos/ folder, and the data stays in the project's private .vfrey/ folder. The platform keys belong to you.

YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, through their official APIs.

Always. The AI-disclosure flag is set on every upload. If a platform refuses the label, the post is blocked rather than posted without it.

The free local tool uses official APIs only: no browser automation, no scraping, and no downloads of other creators' videos. The paid Topics and Creators features run on vfrey's servers and use licensed data providers and official APIs. Neither one automates a browser. Read the Creator data notice.

No. TikTok is not a topic source and it gets no comment replies. Topics come from official RSS, YouTube, and Reddit reads.

A quality failure is rejected. A compliance failure is blocked.

Framey is one of the three render engines, with Remotion and HyperFrames. It renders HTML and GSAP.
