The MCP server runs on the hosted vfrey service, which is not live yet, so there is no URL to paste today. This page says how it will work. It needs an account, a plan that includes the tools, and credits. See Plans and credits.
An agent that runs in a terminal uses the vfrey commands and the skill. An agent that has no terminal, such as Claude Desktop, claude.ai, ChatGPT, or Cursor, can use vfrey’s research tools through a remote MCP server instead. It is the same service as vfrey topics, vfrey creators, and vfrey mail draft, with the same plans and credits. The MCP server does not make videos. Rendering stays in the command line and the skill. See Your agent.

Connect

The server’s URL is https://console.vfrey.ai/api/mcp. In every client you paste the URL. The client opens a vfrey page, you sign in, and you press Approve. The page shows the client’s name and where it will send you back.
Open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Paste the URL and press Connect. Sign in and Approve. Leave any client ID and secret fields empty: the client registers itself.
To check it, ask the agent to “list vfrey niches”.

Sign-in

The sign-in is OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, so you never paste a token. The connection acts as the organization you approved with. Its access token lasts 1 hour and is renewed on its own, and the connection stays for 30 days after it was last renewed. To end a connection, revoke it on the Tokens page of your vfrey account.

The tools

There is no tool to approve or send mail. A person approves and sends in the vfrey web app or with npx vfrey mail approve and mail send. An MCP connection that tries is refused.
A plan, credit, or limit failure comes back as a tool error that carries the upgrade or buy-credits link, so the agent can tell you what to do.
